Mandibular Advancement Splints (MAS)

Too often the sufferer, or their bed partner, are not aware that their dentist can play a large role in the treatment of these conditions and how effective a mandibular advancement splint can be.

 

These devices prevent the lower jaw from falling back during sleep.


Clinical tests have proven the effectiveness of mandibular advancement splints for reducing snoring in more than 80 % of patients and can reduce the apnoea index by up to 50 %.

The Silensor-sl consists of

one splint for the upper and one for the lower jaw.

With the help of two laterally fixed connectors the lower jaw is positioned forward.

​

The Silensor-sl set contains 6  interchangeable connectors of different lengths so the jaw may be advanced gradually into the most effective position.
